Only On Sunday

Most writers are not quick-witted when they talk. Novelists, in particular, drag themselves around in society like gut-shot bears. - Kurt Vonnegut Jr.

Happy New Year

Well, not only did I spend half the night screwing around with this new software so I could get this blog going but, after playing dodge-ball with a cold for the past week, the sucker finally laid me low. So much for the first day of the new freaking year! I blame Mike Coombes for this. He’s the fool, er, I mean friend who’s redesigning my website and he insisted I need a blog. Check out his design site at Kissing The Frog.

Some of the blame for me being let loose with a loaded blog should probably go to the guru of promotion, J. A. Konrath, as well. This is a guy who KNOWS HIS STUFF when it comes to promoting yourself as a writer, something that is a MUST in the publishing world of today. Check out his site.

And speaking of the publishing industry, you’ll hear more from me on that. Tis one of my major soapbox issues.

I’m going to crawl off and pour myself another cup of Peet’s, see if I can kill this cold. If it ain’t Peet’s, it ain’t coffee, ya know!

Write on

  1. That *&^%#@%** Mike Coombes! He got you into this, too?!? But it sounds like you intend to do this regularly. I should title my blog Only on The-Fifth-Monday-of-the Month. :-(
Peets, yes. Carry on, get well, publish Marbles ;-)

  2. I’m not sure Peet’s has the same healing qualities when it’s taken from it’s ancestral home on the west coast.
