New Look - New Feel
Technology moves too fast sometimes. Having been an IT guy for twenty years, I know this, and accept it even, but there are times when it plays havoc with hours better spent on other things - like adding entries to this blog, sending out query letters, finishing my research on and writing the new WIP, minor little details like that.
So, I had this blog just the way I wanted it a couple of days ago; nice theme, nice layout, nice colors. I noticed that WordPress had released a version update so, I updated the software on my site. Blam! Suddenly the theme I used ain’t looking so good. And just at a time when I’m starting to get some traffic.
No problem, I think. Plenty of themes out there. So I go get a nice, 3-column one. Been wanting a 3-column one anyway. Spend the day rewriting code, resizing images, playing around with widgets and plug-ins and by night fall I have a whole new look.
The computer crashes. Then it crashes again. And again. And, observant one that I am, I notice it only crashes while I’m on my new blog. I suspect it’s because I use FireFox, though that is only a suspicion. I hate IE! What a useless collection of code that is. So, back to the theme library to find another.
Another day down the tubes setting up yet another 3-column theme. But it looks good, if I do say so myself. Some nice features in this one and I’ve manipulated the code some to give it a look and feel I like. You’ll have to let me know what you think.
