So, it would appear that book trailers have become the big book promo deal. It’s not like I haven’t wanted to do one, I’ve just been avoiding it for a number of reasons: lack of funds, lack of equipment, lack of expertise. Still, it seemed like a good idea and I have been asked about it a number of times so …
The other morning I started looking around for software that I could use to maybe hack something together myself. That way I could bypass the lack of funds and equipment and go right to the old lack of expertise thing and conquer it. If nothing else, I can always figure out software.
What I settled on (and this may change in the future) was Windows Live Movie Maker and Audacity. I’ve had Audacity loaded on my computer for awhile now, though I’ve never gotten around to using it (I had this idea to produce my own audio versions of my novels and short stories, still do in fact). So, I spent two days mucking about with this software I knew nothing about to come up with this book trailer. It will never win an Oscar, or even go very viral but, all things considered, I don’t think it’s all that shabby a vidclip. Please let me know what you think.
